What Will Your Last Ever Thought Be?
Feb 06, 2024People are Precious Your last ever thought is not going to be about work, money, cars or boats, or indeed achievements. I suggest it is going to be about the people who you care about. This is because the people you are close to are precious to you. But, everyone has people they are close to. Everyone has people who are precious to them. So we are all precious to someone else. But, your value does not reside with the beholder. It resides within you. It is the beholder who recognizes you as precious. What this means is that everyone is precious to someone. But in the wider world, we have fallen into the trap of devaluing people rather than valuing them. This is one of the release mechanisms of war and cultural dysfunction. Once we start off on the path of devaluing people there is usually a backlash and a tit-for-tat conflict happens. It is a mistake, but one we commonly make, to assume that the systems humans have developed to create our economy are the only ones that can exist. Indeed, none of the political systems takes account of the destructive power of dehumanization. This has to be addressed at every level of society. Because people at every level of society are precious. Everyone is precious. Please join us in helping to promote the People Are Precious Mindset. Subscribe if you want to change how things are done.
