People Are Precious
Jan 30, 2024When someone does the same thing over and over and, expects a different outcome, we know they are going to be disappointed. But, suppose they don't know any different. They only have one tool. They only know how to do what they know how to do. They are doomed to repeat and repeat. Well, that might be okay if it is only themselves that are affected. But, suppose they are managers and leaders. Then it can affect all of us. Then it really matters! The problem is that when leaders and managers feel threatened they respond, as many of us do to fear. They double down on what they know and again that might not be in anyone's best interests. In this video, I open up an alternative way of thinking about problems in business and in the world generally. Because psychologically these kinds of problems often reveal great similarities.
